Natasha Stonebridge, MSc

I'm a 'mature' early career researcher within psychological sciences

In 2017 I began a MSc in Psychology at the University of Gloucestershire, graduating a year later with a distinction.  I am now a PhD student using a mixed methods approach to explore the multiple meanings of nature. My own relationship with nature is central to keeping myself well and focused on living a balanced life. It also drives my work as I navigate a new career.

Before coming back into academia, I spent 20+ years in marketing communications, and latterly a rewarding time in community funding.

My academic interests include human-nature relationships and how they may serve to buffer adverse experiences, as well as help us to grow.

I also work alongside other researchers exploring emotional labour in research
